Voluntary Participation. I understand and confirm that my participation in The Darkening Ghost Tour and Paranormal Show is voluntary. I am in good health and suffer from no physical or mental condition that would make me susceptible to injury or disability while participating in the event. I am aware of the nature of this show and that it is intended to scare you.  Therefore, I accept personal liability for any unknown or known conditions that a scare may trigger, including but not limited to: Cardiac arrest, fits, dizziness, feelings of dread or paranoia, nightmares or any other ailments or episodes that may be attributed to fear or being scared.

 

Personal Experiences. The Darkening do not participate or endorse attempting to contact deceased members of your family or friends. We strongly recommend that, should you feel at any time that this is happening through contact techniques we employ such as: Ouija Boards, Pendulums, Glass Movement, Table Tipping, GhostTube or any other effects, that you do not proceed and cease the activity. The Darkening cannot be held liable should you continue with an activity if it will bring distress to you.

 

Understanding Risks. I am aware of the risks, dangers and hazards involved in my participation in The Darkening Ghost Tour and Paranormal Show. I understand that the Ghost Tour will take place in public venues, under conditions largely beyond the control of The Darkening Operators and Hosts. Potential risks may include, but are not limited to, uneven walking surfaces, potholes, raised path edges, wet or slippery ground, steps, curbs, low lighting, narrow walkways, traffic movement, road crossings, diversions due to construction or exposure to weather conditions.

 

Dark Areas.I am aware of the risks related to walking inside a location that, for some portions of the show, will be dimly lit or have little to no lighting. I accept responsibility to bring my own light, such as a torch or mobile phone light, to use as necessary. I understand potential risks inside the location may include, but are not limited to: poor lighting, no lighting, stairs, trip hazards and furniture in unexpected locations.

 

Assuming Risks. I assume all risks involved in participation in The Darkening Ghost Tour and Paranormal Show.  I accept personal responsibility for any liability, injury, loss, or damage in any way connected with my participation in this event.

 

Release of Liability. I release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue The Darkening, its principals, affiliated entities, parent companies, subsidiaries, present and former employees, owners, officers, members, managers, partners, contractors, insurers, shareholders, and directors (collectively “Released Entities”) from any and all claims, actions, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses for death, injury, loss or damage of property, in any way arising out of my participation in The Darkening Ghost Tour and Paranormal Show, including, without limitation, any and all claims resulting from the negligence of the Released Entities.

 

Indemnity Agreement. I indemnify and hold harmless the Released Entities from any loss, liability, damage or cost that they may incur for losses and damages which may be brought against me or against any of them by anyone claiming to be injured (including death) or whose property is damaged as a result of my actions arising from or during The Darkening Ghost Tour and Paranormal Show.

 

Validity.  If any portion of this Waiver is held to be invalid it is agreed that the balance of the Agreement will remain valid and enforceable.

 

Promotion Release. I agree to grant to The Darkening a royalty-free license to use my photographic, video, audio recording or digital likeness, in whole or in part, taken during the event, solely for promotional, educational, and/or The Darkening purposes.

 

Consent to Medical Treatment. I authorise The Darkening to provide me with customary medical assistance, transportation, and emergency medical services as the result of injury or health condition. This consent does not impose a duty upon The Darkening to provide such assistance, transportation, or services. I have the right to refuse medical assistance and understand The Darkening will provide assistance if I am incapacitated.

 

Conduct.  There is to be no photography or unauthorised recording of any part of this event and anybody under the influence of drink and/or drugs, will be required to leave, with no refund.

 

Timings.  The start cannot be delayed for late arrivals so please ensure you arrive well in advance of the advertised starting time.  (See website for specific details about the show.)

 

Age Guidance.  There is no nudeness, drug abuse or swearing in the show (other than from our quivering participants) but, due to the scary nature of the experience, we advise an age limit of 15 or over.

 

Refunds.  The Darkening are unable to refund any individual or group tickets 7 days, or less, than the event date. In the unlikely event The Darkening cancel a performance, all tickets will be fully refunded.

 

​Data Protection. All personal information submitted, at the point of booking or registration is used solely by The Darkening for the purposes of informing you of the details of your booking and future events.  You may unsubscribe from receiving emails at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of each correspondence.  No information is shared with any other group or organisation. Details are stored and removed, in accordance with GDPR guidelines.
